Quartz Grinding Unit
The most silica sand is made up of broken down or crushed or grinded quartz crystals or silica. The common quartz grinding units consist of quartz crusher, quartz grinding mill, vibrating feeder, vibrating screen and belt conveyor. The big size quartz block are transferred to primary crusher – jaw crusher through vibrating feeder from hopper for first crushing, then the crushed materials are transferred to impact crusher through belt conveyor for secondary crushing. The materials crushed which is silica sand, will be transferred to the vibrating screen, and separated to different sizes. The silica sand with suitable size will be transferred to the final product pile and silica sand with unsuitable size will be transferred to the impact crusher for re-crushing. This form a closed and manifold cycles.
Grinding Machine for Quartz Processing
Ball mill is widely used in quartz grinding unit, and is favored by our customers. The ball mill is composed of feeding part, discharging part, gyre part, and transmission part. Its rotary speed varies from 21 r/min to 38 r/min, and the output size from 0.074mm to 0.89mm. The processing capacity can reach as high as 29t/h.
Ball mill is crucial equipment for grinding after silica sand raw materials are crushed. Ball mill is an efficient tool for grinding silica sand into silica powder. There are two ways of grinding: the dry process and the wet process. It can also be divided into tabular type and flowing type according to different forms of discharging material. Ball mills are widely applied in cement industry, chemical industry, new building materials, fire-resistant materials, fertilizer, porcelain and glass industry etc.
